Our team is recognized as one of the elite programs in the region and participation is by invitation only. We seek tough, dedicated athletes who demonstrate exceptional talent and a commitment to excellence. We don’t look for perfection, we look for dedication and the desire to get better. We are tough and gritty, we are not for everyone.

Coach Like No Other
Coach Face takes particular joy in helping these young men navigate the challenges of their athletic journey, providing exposure and training that may otherwise be inaccessible. He partners with local elite trainers to get your son the training and development he needs. To keep it simple, Face likes to win & win well.

Skill Development
We focus on individual skill development, including fundamentals such as shooting, ball-handling, defense, and teamwork, to help players reach their full potential. Our goal is to enhance each player's strengths while addressing areas for improvement. Face doubles down on what your child is great at, while helping them grow elsewhere.
No Tryouts
We don't try out, we invite. If you want an invitation your parent must contact us via text, email or the form below.
Face offers a very small amount of invitations a season. Instead of traditional tryouts, you will be invited to play in a game (or two) with the team. After that you may receive an invitation for a permanent spot on one of our two teams. Formal invites become official only after the player and family can agree to our team requirements. Thank you for considering Team PAYNE, an invitational AAU basketball team, for your child's spring season. Our program offers an unparalleled opportunity for tough, talented young athletes to develop their skills, foster teamwork, and compete at the highest levels of AAU basketball. As we go into our second Spring Season, I'd like to take a moment to reflect.
I started this program in 2023 as a result of frustration with other AAU organizations that are just for profit. I was looking for something different that was challenging for my son and his friends. I wanted them to be pushed and I wanted then to win. In their first Spring 2023, Team PAYNE was UNDEFEATED 16-0.
Team PAYNE has already been making waves in the AAU circuit this spring solidifying its position as an elite and exclusive team. I have set out on a mission to be known, be elite, and be exclusive, and our athletes have already been sparing no effort in their pursuit of excellence.
Spring has begun with an impressive showing at the Dr. Mac's Invitational Tournament, where Team PAYNE displayed their prowess on the court, ultimately earning a spot in the championship game. Despite facing tough competition, the team showcased their resilience and determination, making it to the final showdown with an impressive 20+ point comeback that led to victory in game 3/5 . Though we ultimately lost the final game, I am proud our boys clawed their way to the final round and lost the only way we should, with blood, sweat & payne.
The true testament to Team PAYNE’s caliber came when they faced off against one of the top 5 AAU teams in the Zero Gravity circuit at the Garden State Tournament on Sunday 5/24, and won with ease. In a highly anticipated match-up, Team PAYNE rose to the occasion, delivering a stellar performance that culminated in a championship title victory on a Sunday afternoon.
This season has been marked by a series of achievements, each highlighting the team's commitment to excellence and their relentless pursuit of success. Team PAYNE is not just another team; it's a force to be reckoned with—a select group of individuals who have come together with a shared vision of greatness.
As Team PAYNE continues its journey, we remain steadfast in our dedication to bringing these players far beyond the confines of the basketball court. This team is not for everybody, but for those who have chosen to be a part of it, the sky's the limit. Together, we will continue to push boundaries, defy expectations, and carve out a legacy that will be remembered for years to come.
